DragonsDarkerSide
Welcome to my darkerside... I am hoping to be more gothic, creepy and grungey here and to offer a challenge from time to time. I hope you enjoy this different aspect and share my work with me... Thank you for looking!!

Under Lock and Key - the Cover Story

Here is my piece for the TIO #37 challenge this week. The theme is Under Lock and Key.

I used grunge board and gesso, paint dabbers, alcohol inks, cosmic shimmers mica powders, distress in soot and black UTEE... I threw the kitchen sink at it and my hands are filthy, so obviously I really enjoyed muself!! I also used some metal findings, because I intend to make this the cover of a tag book with images of similar things inside. Might have little tags inside too... not sorted it yet, just wanted to work a bit bigger again this week!! It is really grungy and dark, but so tactile.
Thanks for looking

  4. Wow! I so admire anyone who works with his or her hands whether it be in fabric and lace or metals but I am an outsider looking in - enviously!! Your blog is a joy to visit. I love this piece and everything else that is on show. Fantastic!!

Hope the week has improved by now..caring for your Mum is such an amazing thing that you do...and it IS hard, I know. Hope your daughter is able to face forward too, set backs are horrid, you just wanna do it for them, huh!
